Many people have asked me this question
“Yvonne, why did you want to organise this AMEC AI English Study Tour?”. Many are surprised that AMEC decided to put together this program in July—one of our busiest month. Moreover, Yvonne decided to lead this study tour in person and has attended to all kinds of major and minor arrangements for the students during their stay in Australia…
STEM is the future trend of education globally.
As the world that our children are facing today is nothing similar to the world we grew up in, STEM education has been adopted in curriculum by many Australian mainstream secondary and primary schools. Australia enjoys a globally acknowledged reputation in the education of aerospace technology, medicine and biotechnology etc. Australia’s worldwide recognition in these disciplines, along with its blessed natural environment and safe community inspired AMEC to plan a distinctive study tour which enables the students to “learn English through Science”. From the moment seeing a small automatic Lego car to constant discussion with education leaders in Australia, AMEC AI English Study Tour is finally on stage!
Many people question the purpose of overseas study tour, saying that each tour only lasts for 2 to 4 weeks, and that the students spend most of their time on leisure activities. In this way, it seems impossible for the students to improve their English.
Exactly! We are proud to say that we have overcome the challenges and the concerns of many families. In fact, learning math and science through English, and then creating a piece of work by oneself can build up one’s sense of teamwork, cultivate independent thinking and create an English class that is not boring at all!
More Opportunities & Experiences
Apart from learning in class, the students have more opportunities experiencing the Australian culture through communication with their homestay families after school. In our study tour, the students are divided into groups depending on their level, which provides the students with opportunities to learn with the local students. Based on extensive cultural exchange and adaption to the new environment, we believe we are able to offer you a study tour that is more meaningful with more practical results.
I am extremely grateful to the teaching staff for their genuine support of this study tour. First of all, I want to say that I am lucky to have chosen John Paul International College as the main school hosting the study tour. Besides full support from John Paul International College, we are also very grateful to have assistance and support from the science teaching staff from Griffith University and other universities in Australia. This is why there are 7 teachers in the classroom!

John Paul College
John Paul College is a co-educational school with a beautiful campus. Large area of green space provides the perfect site for us to engage in activities with the local students.
Teachers from John Paul College have looked after the students with close attention and have been by the students’ side in both classroom and outdoor learning activities. I hope the success of our study tour can be spread more widely so as to gain more support from international educators and enterprises. We look forward to seeing you in the next study tour!
